An account of the process and results of ten booth sessions at The Monroe Institute in the Fall of 2000.
A Place to Stand edition by Frank DeMarco Paul Rademacher Religion Spirituality eBooks
Ten sessions in the black box at the Monroe Institute recorded and transcribed by Frank DeMarco. It was interesting to get a sense of the process, but the book is like a lab notebook, so don't expect much in the way of consistency. It is more like someone moving carefully in a dark room trying to find out what is there. As a Monroe Institute alumni (if I can call myself that) I was intrigued to follow Frank's process and I'm glad he decided to publish the sessions.

A Place to Stand edition by Frank DeMarco Paul Rademacher Religion Spirituality eBooks Reviews
I appreciate Frank DeMarco keeping a log of his experiences over the years, starting with Muddy Tracks Exploring an Unsuspected Reality, continuing through Sphere and the Hologram, The Explanations from the Other Side and The Cosmic Internet Explanations from the Other Side, and now going back to catch up with some of his early notes. For those who have been following DeMarco's journey and scientific/spiritual quest through those books, this one is a great supplement. If you haven't read any of his other books yet, I think it would be useful to start with Muddy Tracks Exploring an Unsuspected Reality first to give a more thorough background before reading this one. Otherwise you might feel like you're dropping into the middle of the story.
It's also interesting to see Skip Atwater as a player in this one. His book Captain of My Ship, Master of My Soul Living with Guidance with CDROM, detailing his own experiments in remote viewing, is also a great read.
Excellent Book
It's extremely eye opening, thought provoking. I greatly appreciate Frank's work as I agree with him that this is our next step in human evolution - to extend our consciousness.
I haven't started reading it yet, but order came to my the same day I ordered it.
Having been to a Gateway session, I was interested to read how DeMarco continued his education. It was an interesting read, especially the format of using the back and forth conversation during sessions.
My first introduction to Frank DeMarco was while listening to the radio Coast to Coast, to be exact. He was promoting A Place to Stand, and his interview caught my ear because of the mention of the Monroe Institute. I knew of the Monroe Institute from a friend and had experienced the hemispheric brain synchronization a few times when using one of their tapes. In reading the reviews of A Place to Stand,it was suggested that one should read his previous books first, which I did. I wholeheartedly agree with this suggestion, especially if you know nothing about the Monroe Institute or hemispheric synchronization. Start with Babe in the Woods, then Muddy Tracks. A Place to Stand is icing on the cake. It's a narrative of one person's experience but really it is a guide to what is available to us all if we are willing to go beyond the boundaries of how we perceive reality. Not all "seeing" is done with the eyes.
I have met the author and his book "The Sphere and Hologram" was a real gift to me. "A Place to Stand" was another part of his explorations in the Black Box that led to " The Guys Upstairs" who are really a part of his oversoul/entity, (others call it The Higher Self/just not me). I feel that Frank is an example of what human beings will be doing for themselves in the years ahead and it will be normal. One's oversoul is the source of intuition/psychic information, hunches etc. In fact , an awareness of the oversoul, (that contains all of one's incarnations and then some, one's divinity etc.), is the next step in spirituality. One cannot really live a human life without it, even if one does not believe in such a thing.
I want to add that Mr DeMarco has been in touch with TGU since the early nineties
so the black box session in this book is an example of the kind of explorations Mr.
DeMarco has done over time. His chronicle of his beginning contact with TGU is in
the book "Muddy Tracks".
